For some people, starting therapy can feel daunting, and for others it can feel like a relief. Wherever you find yourself, my priority is giving clients a space that feels safe and comfortable, free from expectations or judgement.
I primarily work with people recovering from trauma, experiencing depression and anxiety, or navigating difficult life transitions. Other areas of focus include emotional dysregulation, perfectionism/impostor syndrome, relationship problems, and spirituality.
Sometimes clients don’t have a specific concern but are generally feeling bogged down by the challenges of life – I welcome that, too.
My approach doesn’t quite fit into a single box; instead, I try to meet clients where they are with a variety of tools and techniques. Some of these include person-centered counseling, internal family systems (IFS)/parts work, existential therapy, and spiritual integration. My work with clients is usually a blend of exploring their pasts, identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds while also focusing on coping strategies for the here and now.
Outside of work, you might find me at a farmer’s market, searching for Chicago’s coziest coffee shop (recommendations welcome), or binge-watching a mini series.
Whether you’re looking for healing, just want to understand yourself more, or maybe a little bit of both, I would love to start the journey with you.
