CCCOC Was Founded as a Ministry Of the LaSalle Street Church
In September of 1971 and was originally called the Near North Counseling Center. In April of 1982, CCCOC became known as the Center for Life Skills and in 2002 was renamed the Cornerstone Counseling Center of Chicago to more accurately reflect our agency.
In the fall of 2002, CCCOC joined the Chicago Area Christian Training Consortium (CACTC), an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited doctoral internship in psychology for pre-doctoral interns who desire to develop their skills in a Christian context. The internship provides an opportunity for students on the cutting edge of research, development, and practice in the last year of their doctoral candidacy in clinical psychology, a professional, academic outlet for research, education, and practice.
