Marriage and Family Therapist
Cornerstone Counseling Center of Chicago (CCCOC) is a full service not-for-profit psychological and counseling agency located just north of the Loop in Chicago. CCCOC’s staff are licensed Master’s and Doctoral level professionals. Cornerstone provides psychotherapy, training, seminars and assessments to the adults, couples, children, adolescents, families, groups, churches and schools of all income levels of our local community.
Position Description:
This is a part-time position. Under the direction of the Executive Director and Clinical Director, the Marriage and Family Therapist plans and effectively administers therapeutic services. This includes seeing couples on-site and telehealth for therapy sessions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain 15-21 hours of direct service hours each week.
- Keep all relevant records up to date through our EMR system and perform clinical tasks.
- Research topics and provide workshops and/or seminars for staff and members of the community.
- Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and staff trainings.
- Conduct administrative duties as necessary to further the mission of CCCOC.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
- Active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist
- 2+ years of prior clinical experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Is open and respectful of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and is competent to work with a diverse client population.
- Demonstrates ability to comprehend and accommodate the mission and vision of CCCOC.
- Ability to learn our EMR system for data entry, communication and report writing.

Part-Time Evening Counselor
Position Description:

Intake Coordinator
ROLE SUMMARY
The Intake Coordinator conducts initial assessments of clients to determine the need for care and works in collaboration with the Clinical Director to assign clients to therapists based on intake assessments. The Intake Coordinator performs a variety of duties. This position requires skill in planning, organizing, strong verbal and written communication and empathy to provide excellent client care. This role reports to the Clinical Director.
Client Registration and Intake

Register new clients and walk them through the intake process by phone

Accurately record client information, access client needs and assign to the appropriate therapist

Provide referrals to individuals as needed, researching options as needed
-
Check and respond to web intakes daily, both by email and phone response
-
Create patient portals for new clients and assist clients with the process as needed
Client Insurance Verification

Verify potential client insurance benefits
-
Coordinate and confirm alternative billing methods and program eligibility
-
Maintain and update referral database
Leadership
-
Leads a weekly intake meeting and provides updates
-
Drives the Client Access Program (CAP)
-
Coordinators client care with community partnerships
-
Assists in training new staff and yearly interns
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar role or role requiring project/program management and independent operations.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Training will be provided on practice EMR systems.

Experience working in a healthcare environment or experience with health insurance,not required but a plus.
